Magnificent.
Recalling our discussion about dependence of quality of a fanfic and the amount of time spent on it, I feel a need slightly change my point. What makes a difference between an average and an outstanding story is not necessarily a time. It's an investment to it.
It's the investment of thinking, observing, life experience (and time), what I see behind BOS. Marvelously building your characters, their motivations and acting in this story, you are not afraid of going pretty deep to make them really live.
Book Six retold as Book of Anger and Maturing of Hermione Granger gives a new sense to many things in Harry Potter world. I'm looking forward to see more of this - whenever it comes.

Aww--back at you with TPOS. I'm also very fond of a postDH SSHG right now--Where Your Treasure Is--it's excellent, at 45 chapters and about 200 thousand words--since August--and updated almost every day. So I really don't think you can say time = quality--not in a simple way anyway.

So, more TPOS?

nom? Do you mean the OWL nomination? That was two years ago and I still keep it on the template for new chapters but unless there's something I don't know, BOS hasn't been nominated.

Thanks though for always liking this thing of mine and encouraging more.

It was? *snicker*

Shows you how much I pay attention to what's currently going on in fandom. I thought - cool, a nom! hehehe.

Wow, I don't who to feel sorrier for -- Hermione or Snape! Her row isn't that much harder to hoe than his is. To be unfairly ostracized as evil while Ron and Lav get to be sluts with impunity -- eeek!

Every time I do a chapter I have to reread--at least parts--of HBP. I didn't want to go OTP and be unfair to Ron, but it's really, really hard to like Ron in this period of HBP--he really is acting cruely to her--the snogging in the stacks, the public mocking of her handraising, comes straight from canon even if I messed a bit with chronology (I figured he might have done it more than once.

So yeah, poor Hermione doesn't have it easy right now. Thanks for the review!

I just wanted to say that even if this turns out to be a story you don't have the time and inspiration to completely finish, I'm still so happy to have read such an interesting fic :)

btw.. chapter 11 is linked at the bottom (that doesn't seem to exist, not yet at least..), that links back to chapter 10, is due to you keeping the chapter template handy?

Yup, it's due to the chapter template, and in fact there is a completed Chapter Eleven on LJ--just incomplete and posted private.

I don't think realistically it's probable I'll ever finish this given all the time nothing has come. Although I think about it almost every day--that it's not finished haunts me. Thanks so much for commenting and letting me know you liked it.
