....Well That did NOT go well

Getting from Recitation to Math is okay because we got done early, and there's a class in my math classroom before ours so basically it's VERY easy to arrive there even if you're technically going to be late.

However, getting from my Math class to my Chemistry Class--nigh impossible. I hate to say it but somehow I'm either going to have to move it ( Read more... )

upset, university, etc, real life

A complicated timetable had me rushing for lab class, and I accidentally went into the wrong group. And since they didn't have any repeat classes, and I was feeling pretty murderous, I said to myself sod all this I'm taking this class.

So I sent a letter to the director saying that the original group clashed with my timetable (it didn't...) and asked to be transferred to the group I'd accidentally joined. Luckily the unit director trusted me for some strange reason, so it ended well. But I hope you've at least found your goggles :

For us here they specifically make it so that you have at least 10 minutes before classes. This is pretty much pointless seeing as Busy streets + lots of people + any type of injury can = you being late for class.

So yeah I wound up emailing my Adviser and the Professor in control of the labs...but the thing is I'm not sure if my knee will basically prevent me from getting there on time or not (because my math class *the class right beforehand* MOVED 3 times...and now it's really far away xP ). The only positive thing is apparently you don't HAVE to take the lab with the chemistry class, so I could take it next semester no problem *nods*

And yeah at least that worked out with you XDD

10 minutes is about the same it is for me too, but since I'm taking a joint degree the faculty buildings are on opposing sides and the hours pile onto each other like whoa. By the time I got to the lab building I wasn't really in the mood to care >_>

along with twenty other students who were as lost as I was

That's good if you can take it when you're freer. Lab classes are non-negotiable for me, so I just fibbed into getting things my way ;D Bad example like whoa.

Ours..yeah I mean I live on campus, but UAB is downtown (in the middle of the City of Birmingham)...and it's spread out. And people are lunatic drivers, and parking is a myth. So you'd THINK it'd be a bit more useful to actually live there and walk, but nope. UAB also isn't very disable-friendly (as I found out with my roommate Caitlin) but at least she pushed to have a ramp go in to one of the buildings *and they're currently building it right now*

for us the enrollment is UP so it's more like 100 students who have NO IDEA where they're going, and 200+ others who KNOW where they're going but are loitering

Yeah XD I mean that's the only class I have issues getting to. I barely make it to a few of my other classes, but the difference is--those classes have classes in the same classroom right beforehand, so I'd have to wait anyway if I came early XD
