For the First Three People Who Ask...

I’ll write you a ficlet-you need to give me a pairing (or character(s)) and a Exchange-like prompt or two. I for my part will try to write something more than a drabble and less than the usual short story (so over 500 words and under 1,000 ( Read more... )

If you are wanting Lucius, I'd be very happy for some Lucius.

Well...er...I filled my three requests. Yup, that's the ticket. No room for Lucius at the inn. I'm sure he's heartbroken to not be duly worshiped by me...

Heeeee...OMG!

I was starting to be a little sorry that I missed putting a prompt in, until I saw the three that you got. Can't wait to see what you come up with. :D

Heh. Two done (on the post as comments) two to go.

Travel is Broadening

Stripping Bare

*smug look* StripperSnape is done--after that, how can anything else hold any terror?

Don't feed the bunny though--these are supposed to be small, thin creatures...

And you need room for all that Exchange feast...

Had I seen this fast enough, I would have asked you to continue the Book of Shadows. I would not want you to spread yourself thin on my account. Still, the reason I am writing to you is to recommend a different kind of time eater ( ... )

It's not superficial. Look, there's only so much time in the universe. There's more than SSHG out there--there's Snarry, there's R/Hr, there's Harry/Hermione--many of which have wonderful stories. There's also other fandoms--Firefly, Trek. Why would I waste my time reading a ship I hate, hating every word, even if I can distantly admire it?

And that's the way I feel about any fic focused on Lucius in a sympathetic way. I'm sure it's a great fic--I'm sure others will enjoy it.

But not me.

Thanks for your kind thoughts about Book of Shadows.

I understand. I don't easily read any other pairing except SSHG (so I don't without a terribly heavily good reason) and I don't know other fandoms.
Just a correction of a misconception I may have caused. It is a SSHG story, only Snape did not live in vacuum during 25 years after Nagini's bite, he lived with Lucius who saved his life and shared his exile. The world did not disappear when he met Hermione leaving them pure and free of everything and everybody that they'd grown into in the meantime.
No hard feelings (between you and me -- many hard feelings in the story).

OMG, this cracks me up!! I can't decide if the thought of Snape stripping is frightening or exciting. I suppose a little of both. I love it!

Actually, I couldn't decide if the thought of Snape stripping was frightening or exciting when I wrote this... So maybe that's why it came through that way. I'm glad I was able to make you laugh--I feel I'm tone death when it comes to humor.

Thanks for the lovely comment.

I truly enjoyed all three of these ficlets (aka pieces of flash fiction). You've done an excellent job or story-telling in all of them; you remind me of the things I enjoy about fanfic - finding gems such as these.

Aw, thanks--I feel the third was the weakest, but then it was also for some reason the hardest, but each in its way was an interesting challenge and one of the reasons I do feel fanfic can help build writing muscles. I enjoyed doing some "flash fiction" aka short shorts--a different kind of challenge than drabbles--or chaptered fiction.
