Your mention of Evanescence's "My Immortal" reminds me of a LULZFEST that you might enjoy reading about!
This Encyclopedia Dramatica article gives the details about a Harry Potter fanfiction called My Immortal that is basically a MASSIVE BADFIC with a Mary Stu that introduces the world of GOTH to HP. Trust me, this is wild stuff.
There is even a fanclub for this author where they just bash on her. This lj post has a video of a dramatic READING of a chapter. Trust me, watch it! I'm tempted to watch now, but I should probably go to sleep instead.
Oh, fuck it, I watched/listened anyways and am now laughing like an idiot. Seriously... holy shit, you have to watch this and laugh too! It's made of AWESOMESAUCE WIN!
