This morning we were hit with arguably the most snow we've seen all month. The local public schools are closed. The schools in the area around the local public schools are closed. The tech school that only closes under threat of the apocalypse is closed. But is mine closed? No. No, it is not

There is no limit as to when it snows in Minnesota. When I was in high school we once had school closed because of a massive blizzard - even though it had been officially spring for nearly a month. It's also snowed on my grandfather's birthday (April 29).

Unfortunately, said snow always seems to miss the city I now live in. Or when we do get a raging blizzard, it's on a day when I don't have class.

Holy crap, it's still snowing there? (It's starting to lighten up up here. It's raining and the temperature is a little below no-jacket weather.)

I wish there was some sort of... "My school sucks!" place we could go to bitch with other people who were suckered into going to our schools. Eg. I can bitch with other Seneca people, and you can complain with other MSU people.

I'd really be surprised if there was a school that people actually LIKED and sang the praises of.

It's not unusual for us to get snow this late. When I was in high school we once had school closed because of a massive blizzard - in the middle of April. Most of it's melted today, though. When I walked to my 9:00 class this morning, the ground was covered with ice. When I walked to my 4:00 class, the ground was covered with giant slush puddles.

If there's a school that is actually liked by its students, I need to transfer immediately.

Yeah, I checked the SMSU website yesterday just for the hell of it. I thought, "WTF?! My old college and high school are closed!"

Moral of the story: I'm at the wrong school. :D
