[[ RL with Apollo ]]

The House on the Rock. He had heard that this was where the Balder boy had come at one point, with a small host of other gods, and surely with information like that it was as good a place to start his search as any. Or, it would have been, had he arrived any day that wasn't today, apparently.

Horus sat beneath a tree on a nearby hill, watching ( Read more... )

Upon arriving in Spring Green, a shivering Apollo remembered why he hated Wisconsin. The damned snow. Why the hell a fellow Sun God was in such a dismal, dreary place was beyond him. Apollo sighed, his clothes melting into more appropriate attire - his sandals and beach shorts turned to snow boots and warm pants, and his upper torso now clothed, complete with a matching cap and scarf. Much better.

The god headed through the thicket of trees he'd landed in, each step melting the snow as if, well, as if he were extremely warm. Which he was, by nature, but he still hated the ridiculous notion of winter. Thank you, Hades, you asshole.

Apollo spotted Horus beneath a tree nearby and hiked on over, placing a warm, gloved hand on the god's shoulder. "Cold, Horus?"

The falcon god started at the touch, an almost feral expression crossing his face as he jerked away. He quickly looked over his shoulder and hello there Apollo, when did you get here?

"....I'm, ah...." Sheepishly, Horus settled back down into his previous position. "Sorry."

He was quiet for a moment, then shook his head. "'M used to it," he lied, sinking lower into the jacket despite himself. Another pause, and then he looked curiously up at the other god. "Why'd you come?"

Apollo jerked his hand away, shocked at the god's reaction to his touch. Poor thing, being alone for so long had really taken a toll on Horus. He pitied him, really.

Once Horus calmed down, Apollo squatted down in the snow beside him, giving the other god a gentle smile. "I came because you seemed down. Then again, given the surroundings - " He waved a hand at the tourists, the snow-covered cars. "- I don't blame you. It's absolutely depressing here."

Horus continued staring at him for a moment before turning his gaze back to the many people milling about below them, silently agreeing. Depressing was certainly a nice word for it.

"Many gods have passed through here before," he explained absently. "Not to long ago, either. So I thought, maybe if I came and looked...." The young sun god trailed off and merely ended the statement with a half-hearted shrug, as thought that were explanation enough.

"....to many people, though," he continued with a small groan, pulling his knees up to his chest. "Normally don't bother me, really, but...."
