Do you remember when everyone transferred over to Livejournal from ff.net? Or was that before you got into the fandom?

I was never on ff.net but I remember the terrible weekend they shut down the site supposedly in honor of 9/11 and then proceeded to commit the decidedly un-American act of removing all of the RPS without any warning.
