Oh man, Harley, I love you. ;~; You probably know that, but still, I love you like something special, THANK YOU for writing and sharing this. It's just. So beautiful. Misa and Teru are an excellent combination and I really like their interaction. Misa drives him insane yet he still feels some kind of sympathy for her. It's amazing. *_*

My pleasure as always, Viola-chan! I'm very pleased to hear that you enjoy this. Like I said I'm trying to take it slow in Death Note fandom by writing oneshots for a while. I might do a couple more, set in After-L's-death. And I do like Teru-Misa interaction since they barely have that in canon. So sympathy is Teru's general feeling for Misa here? Hmmm...

Well, his emotions are a bit hard to describe, I guess, but it does seem like a certain kind of sympathy. And Teru and Misa's personalities just... clash in such a fascinating way. ^_^ Can't wait to see more of your short stories!

You were confused about Teru's disposition? Is that a bad thing? :( This is my first time to write him and with Misa especially. But I think I might write more Teru...and some Light...I love Light/Teru these days. It makes me feel so dirty I could jump in the river to wash the filth XD

This is made of genius and orgasms. Your writing style is just so fluid, so compelling. I love the way that you portrayed Mikami, I really do, and you've made the relationship between Misa and Teru so believable, despite their limited interaction in the scope of the canon. I think that you've done both characters justice, and your insight into characters are just astonishing - and I liked the slow-build up of the relationship as Teru realizes there's more to Misa than her bubbly exterior and begins to the see the tragedy that she embodies. I think that Misa is quite a strong character, if you think about it - she's not inhuman like Light or L, but there's something about her, a certain strength that the other characters don't exhibit, and that's forcing herself to smile even if she's had several things happen to her, from the burglar that murdered her parents to devoting herself entirely to Light while completely sacrificing herself. She is quite the tragic character, despite her optimistic persona, which makes her very...dynamic. I'm ( ... )

Very relieved that it came out as orgasmic because I've always believed literature is all about sex! XD

Thanks for the compliment because this is my first time to write Teru and my first time to portray Misa in usual colorful rainbows with a taint of deceit. And honestly, I adore the blonde genki girl so much!! And you are very right indeed: she's a strong character and even as a person herself. To be able to put a wall without people seeing it as such and keep smiling in public is hard to pull of if you're traumatized by your family's brutal murder.

Misa reminds me of this character in the TV series One Tree Hill named Bevin. She's dumb, blonde and the laughing stock of the cheerleading squad. But she's surprisingly empathetic and understanding. She snapped one time and said these words that gave insight to a more complex character: "I act silly because it keeps people like you around me happy of the fact that you have something to make fun of. It's high school so I let you girls have your way. But we'll all be new people after ( ... )

Oh wow, Harley it's so good to see you writing DN fanfiction again! :D This was awesome, you got both of their personalities down really well--Mikami is so adorably irritable, and Misa is adorably annoying, and their interaction worked out really well. I loved Mikami's line at the end about getting her a good settlement, even though being a prosecuting attorney, he wouldn't be able to do that. Ah well, maybe he's got divorce lawyer associates or something. Anyway, great job.

Thanks very much! I'm so relieved that I can write bits and bits of DN again and I'm taking my time. I'll be writing more oneshots, see, and I hope you can be there to read them, Nana-san! I have a Light/Misa too, it's the first one I wrote. It's in here. I hope you can read it!

I think I made Teru say that out of an effort to say something nice. I think even he, the great martyr, can be prone to that kind of superficial sympathy but when you think about it, he said it in sincerity and he really wants to help in the only way he can extend help. He barely knows Misa so he can't give himself in her aid. But if he did, he might just help..out of pure compassion because that's what he does. And perhaps Misa, being in love with Light, might not misunderstand it at all as an act of courtship...or will she? Hmmm...maybe I should write a part two...should I?...hmmm...

This is absolutely gorgeous! You are a very, very talented authoress, Harley! ♥ Mikami is just so cute. @@; You're going to make me fangirl hysterically now! XD;; I loved Misa in this, loved her. I found the ending exceptionally ironic since Light was the very man Mikami was irked at. Very nice tough. I love stuff like that.

This is fabulous. You are fabulous. I'm so glad you wrote this! ♥

Thanks! I think Teru and Misa need an interaction since they seem to be the kind of people most passionate about whatever they are fighting for and they might become good friends, despite very different personalities. I plan to write a part 2 to this and is this story will be intertwined to "Humble," my Light/Misa fic that I posted here before.

To tell you the truth, both "Humble" and this one seemed unfinished business to me and I might just write other follow-up oneshots for them. You see, I always thought Misa and Teru would perfectly understand each other's need for justice. I think Misa would appreciate Teru's sense of responsibility to protect the weak and Teru would be all over her, comforting her traumatic past. That's why it's "seek and rescue."

In Light's case, he needs some humility so I portrayed that in my 'Humble' story.

Thanks again for the comment, Aramis-chan! I still soooo envy you for having that username XD
