I was THRILLED to be able to work to support him - THRILLED to be able to vote for him - THRILLED to be able to watch him and his family reach out and embrace a new day last night.
I grew up looking up to Lincoln and Kennedy - I was a ARDENT Clinton supporter (I voted for Hillary in the primary) - and I am a PROUD supporter of our new President.
as a fun side note - my son (7 years old) also voted for Obama. His school held mock elections and he cast his vote for Obama (based on the fact that he had seen the interview where he was going to get a puppy for his daughters). When I voted I brought him with me so that he could be a part of it and he saw who I was voting for and he told me that he was proud of me.
