It's been a long while but this is always worth watching over, especially the first half where he discusses the purposes of doing a martial art. No question he was an interesting individual. haha, wth? no handshake at the end of that interview? he shouldve felt honored to be graced by such a philosophighter
this reminded me of one of lee's movies. ironically(?) enuff, my favorite part of ALL of enter the dragon was not the fancy kicks or high flying wackyness or whatever else it is that appealed people to those movies, but the first few minutes when he breaks down his philosophy, particularly this line:
"A good fight should be like a small play, but, played seriously. A good martial artist does not become tense, but ready. Not thinking, yet not dreaming. Ready for whatever may come. When the opponent expands, I contract. When he contracts, I expand. And when there is an opportunity, I do not hit... It hits all by itself."
