Re-reading the first part and then reading the second at six o'clock in the morning was probably not a good idea - mainly for the fact that I'm trying to stop myself from squealing and cooing madly at my computer.

This was absolutely beautiful. I'm not highly familiar with kabuki, but the way you wrote it, I didn't need to be. The way Nino and Ohno play out, the friendship of the others and the scenery....I just. GUH.

I don't know why I thought I could form a coherent comment to this..... I want to read it again already!

Oh wow. This is just...amazing, seriously. I love historical AUs, and this was just wonderful. I love how their love slowly grows, and how hesitant Nino is. Your writing is just beautiful, you convey emotion so subtly, and it's heartbreaking without being cloying or overwrought.

t-thank you \;_;/ i always feel like i'm going way overboard with the emotional stuff, so it's nice to hear that it comes off a subtle instead XD

I... I always run out of words trying to say what I think, feel, about your works that would do it justice, and this -this is - like always - so so perfect and absolutely gorgeous. It's fierce and beautiful and I think I'll be stuck with Nino's image as an onnagata that you painted in my mind.

I'm doing BA Japanese, and we're doing culture, history, and literature as well, so I know a bit about Kabuki. Only a bit, because, and I'm admitting it, it bores me. T_T

I really like the way you did the dialogues and descriptions and how you wrote them so consistently and so natural at that. And Yuri - Chinen - is here and he's Nino's apprentice! xD I love what you did there. ♥

Nino's doubts and insecurities, Ohno's feelings, everything, everything about them. ;_; it's so pure, and gaaahhh so SO PRETTY ( ... )
