Okay. Okay, so this? I HAVE A LOT OF FEELINGS ABOUT THIS.

First of all, the spam is absolutely gorgeous. The first one of Anna and the blood is so striking; it pulled me in right away. It's very evocative. I really like the starkness of each image. And I really like how the sparsity of words in the fic reflects that starkness. I think they relate really well together. I love, love LOVE the shark metaphor, and think it works really well here. I love that Erica is the shark and Anna? Anna doesn't care because she's queen and no shark is match for her. And I really like that this is just them; they're the main characters here and pretty much the only characters because although Jack and Amy and Tyler are mentioned, briefly, once, this was always going to come down to Anna v. Erica.

I'm so happy you liked it! The entire fic was born out of the spam so I'm glad some that translated over a bit because I wanted them to accompany and feed into each other. The shark metaphor CAME OUT OF NOWHERE but it strangely fits so perfectly. I was thinking about how Anna is an animal under the human skin and so she would look at Earth's animals and Earth's predators and idk study them or something -- FISH EAT OTHER FISH and I thought about how little sharks have had to evolve but still think them inferior to her. LOL. IDK. -- and thinks of humans as merely prey. Except. Erica. She's a shark in the water -- moving towards Anna without any intention to stop.
