HT100 Oz Flash Fic Challenge #3 - The Gift

Mar 28, 2004 09:26

The HiSoc boys offer up an antidote to the previous presentation, returning to their European holiday interlude in the summer of 1950. This time they are en route to their destination, somewhere in the middle of the Atlantic because they have their hearts set on a romantic cruise to kick it all off…

*sigh*

Very romantic and yummy. You are so good at filling in the details of Chris' past in a way that makes him a fuller, richer character.

Thanks, Anne, I appreciate it. :) This was an important little fic for me to get down since it clears away some obstacles that I had let get in the way of the original fic a while back. It's nice of these muses to do that in a really fun way, though. ;)

*happy sigh* Now I feel all content and warm. What a beautiful gift for Chris to give NosyToby *g*. I love how you flesh out Chris's past by letting him share it with Toby. Beautiful writing. Thanks so much for a trip into one of my favorite universes!

*g* Well you're very welcome, Cat. A couple of those details were a surprise even to me, but I'm getting used to that on this fic. LOL

I'm glad you enjoyed it, thanks.

I loved it! So sweet and sexy, exactly what I needed to read today. And now I'm very curious about the Chris/Gerry relationship. Why did him kick Chris out? Why would anyone do that?*g* I can't wait to read more about it.

I'm glad they hit the spot with you too, Ana. Letting them out to play always makes me feel better, heaven know (even if they do sometimes makes me nuts *g*).

There will be more Chris/Gerry tidbits -- many of which will be news to me. LOL The short version is: Chris really was behaving badly and needed that kick in the pants to finish growing up and become the man Toby falls in love with. I'm pretty sure Gerry felt awful about that, and never forgave himself for letting Chris get away. But we can't feel too badly for him, can we? ;)
