clinging to a tenuous feeling of absolution... the idea of him only being able to look in the mirror... so nice. The struggle was worth it, A. Rings true and simply poetic.

A, this is excellent! I love this interpretation of what Toby thinks when he gazes into the mirror. And since Toby is so good at self-flagellation it's so perfect that he would confess to himself and look to himself for absolution. Fantastic drabble.
