I don't like kids in tv shows normally (except for Ollie in The Missing) but Holly is always in my heart. I loved her and I love read story about her. In your story I saw the same Holly of the show. She grew up and she is stronger (even if she drinks) but she has the same sweetness, the same hope.
Loved the ending :)

...and now the entire AA group is so traumatised they go out for a drink together...

I always love to see where that childhood takes Holly. This is an interesting one; I don't think I've ever seen her taken into alcoholism before. I wonder if Toby knows or suspects...

Don't forget the uncle who was stabbed practically before her eyes! (Everyone always forgets about the crap that Angus went through. lol)

Poor, poor Holly. There are 30-year soap opera characters that didn't live through as much trauma as her. :(

I always like to see stories about grown up Holly. There are so many ways she could turn out. I don't think I've ever seen her as an alcoholic before. Very sad, and very well done!
