Good to see Toby acknowledging that he's safer with Keller.
He was so stubborn.

It's like admitting he enjoyed having extra protection made him less of a man. *sigh* Thanks again for reading. :)

Nice insight into Toby. He'd hate to admit he might need someone, especially after everything he went through with Schillinger.

Heh, I like the idea of Beecher's corner as a particular table in the law library. Please, you know he was selling, um... speed. What do law students take? Mainlining espresso? Something! *g*

Do you think? I picture Beecher so straight-laced pre-Oz. Well, ya know, except for the whole alcoholic-who-kills-a-little-girl thing. ;)

No, I was teasing. I don't think he was selling speed on his... corner. ;)

But I don't think he was totally wound tight stick-up-his-ass guy, either. Obviously he had a few pressure valves on the outside - alcohol, for one - but he had too much *stuff* simmering, just under the surface, and if Oz hadn't brought it boiling out, I think something else would have set him off soon enough.

Hmmm. Interesting. I don't see him as a stick-in-the-ass either -- he's entirely too sarcastically self-depracating and dryly comic for that. But I'm sure I think that something would have set him off on the outside. I guess I'm still deciding what I think. :D
