The constant smacking of feet on the stone floor roused Beecher’s attention from the book he was rereading for the third or fourth time. “Why are you pacing?”

“I’m just a bit agitated.”

“Yeah I can tell that. Why don’t you read a book or something?”

“Thanks but I would rather pace

I like this a lot. Somehow I can see Keller like that, endlessly circling, always alert, unable to make his way out. Very well done.

I am glad you enjoyed it. I was thinking more on a universal scale when I was writing then on just a character. I know it bugs the hell out of me whenever I am stuck some where and I do not have something to distract me and I notice people watching me. Plus I never could really picture Keller just laying around reading during lock down.

That would be so hard to get used to, being where you had no privacy at all...just glass.

I agree with you so much. I am the one who always has my door closed when I at home and am always listening to music when I am at school. I thought it would be fun exploring the complete loss of privacy.

Nice fishbowl! I thought McManus's vision was especially weird in that respect. Glass seems so hard to keep clean (and intact); bars seem so much more pragmatic. It's fun to see the prison oddity explored.

Yeah I enjoy tweaking the theme when ever I do these. I do not know why but I just cannot do a drabble or story off of a set theme. I have to play with it a bit.

Also your icon is awesome.
