Bleh. I had a devil of a time getting this down to 100 words. I liked the 158 word version better, but I think of this as an excercise, so you get the official 100 worder ( Read more... )

Great response to this, thank you. And thank you for writing Augustus. It's some consolation to know Tom Fontana cried when he wrote that scene, I guess. :/

This is a great catch of him in those last few seconds.

It's part of his DVD commentary on S6: Impotentence. As Augustus says, "I can feel my legs," Tom tells us that he wept as he wrote that, and he *never* cries when he writes, but it was really tough for him to kill off Augustus.

There are many ways to escape from Oz, Augustus once thought. In a coffin, for one. He just couldn't work out the details.

I loved it, esp. because you chose Hill. I've always thought Hill could be used more as a character because he's one of the very few people in Oz that seem to be completely aware of what they've done and regret it. And the ending of your drabble contains the exact style of Hill's narratives.
