Man, it's been a while since I tried one of these! Time to get back on the horse. (Especially since it's my challenge and all...)If he presses his own hand against the curve of his neck, he can fall asleep imagining it's Toby's hand, touching him when they kissed. He wakes up believing he's been held and warmed by Toby's hands- opened up, turned ( Read more... )

I only got this far and got all verklempt! This is such a great description of Chris, heartsick, lovesick, almost pitiful, then *boom* - cold-blooded killer. Very, very nice.

I like this description of what Toby does for/to Chris:

He wakes up believing he's been held and warmed by Toby's hands- opened up, turned inside out, touched in places no one else can reach.

It made me smile.

And then Killer Keller showed up and I got a shiver up my spine.

I love me some Killer Keller; he turns up in almost everything I write, sooner or later. *bg*

Thanks for the feedback! : )

Yeah, me too...Killer Keller definitely has a spot in my heart. (He cut it out with a knife, and keeps it in his back pocket!)

Perfect Keller description. The hurt, aching lover at the beginning and cold-blooded killer at the end.

Echoing the other comments - a beautiful glimpse of the Keller dichotomy, from lover to killer.

And it's so typically Keller: he knows who's to blame, and for a minute, you think he blames himself. But no, he's blaming Said, of course. Luckily, Vern got in the way. I'm not sure Toby would ever have forgiven Chris if he had gotten his wish and killed Said.

Ugh, yes, I shudder to think how that might have played out. I definitely prefer the events that actually unfolded (not that that can *always* be said of Oz for me, LOL).

Thanks for the feedback; I'm glad you enjoyed it! : )
