This didn't end up being quite what I had originally intended, but thanks to maverick4oz and rowanfairchild for telling me it was worth posting anyway (and for giving me some helpful suggestions).
Since prison authorities apparently weren't inclined to give him a job that involved lying, maiming, and destroying people's lives, Keller was instead employed in a way that makes use of his other primary talent: lifting heavy things.
Still my favorite part of many favorites parts. So fucking hilarious and downright brutal. I LOVE IT! Oh yeah, YAY, you posted it. ;-)
Thanks, Nic! That was one of the, um, "great" things about Tom Fontana, you know? He left a lot of details fuzzy, so that we could make up whatever we wanted to about it in fanfic. LOL.
Yes, it is full of great lines...dustandrosesJune 1 2004, 20:55:06 UTC
I'd like to add a third to the growing list of memorable lines...
treacherous muscles though they may be, connecting ribs that support viscera that are surely destined to be roasted slowly over a spit in Hell for eternity
yeah, and I can see Toby turning that spit, pouring some of the drippings over to baste them properly...
You have ensured my happiness by posting this. ;-) As always, I bow to the brilliance of your Vengeful!Beecher.
Adding to the favorite lines parade:
The particular person in question may have, on several occasions, buried his face in your hair and inhaled deeply or lovingly handled your sweat-soaked clothes, in which case it would be prudent to mask your smell to some extent,
That just killed me -- completely and vividly evoking all those little moments from S2 with the horrid sense of hindsight. Perfect.
I plan to take every possible measure to insure that I'm able to do so again in the future!

It kills me to think about that, too. I imagine that sometimes those little things Chris did would suddenly occur to him, and just...*ugh*. How incredibly painful. *sniff*
I'm so happy that you liked this! Thanks, as always, for the encouragement! : )
This fic is so good. It's sad to imagine Toby there at the infirmary with his broken arms and legs, but at the same time is so funny to read him planning so calmly his revenge and talking about the prison's routine like it was just an office or something like that . Ok, what I'm trying to say is that I loved it because it's dark, funny and sexy, all in one fic. How can you do that?*g* Thank you so much for this story.:)
Thanks, Ana Paula! Yeah, I guess I meant for it to be sort of sad and funny at the same time-I think TF portrayed a lot of the things that happened to Beecher that way. It *was* kind of fun to watch Vengeful!Beecher in action, after all. *g*

There are also several air ducts that lead into the room-but this is, of course, real life and not Mission: Impossible.
This was a really great story. I loved the detail and it provides a completly plausible scenario to the shanking. Glad you posted it!
