I have decided (for some godawful reason) that it would be a good idea to condense my various internet diaries/journals into one,for some sort of reference or timeline

hahaha whenever i am reminded of my old journals i want to die. haha :/

I went through some old notebook journals I had stashed in a box when we moved last year. I cringed at some of the entries written by my younger self. What an idiot!
I also noticed, though, some things were repeated over the course of years (some thing that I am still writing about) that I plan on doing, or want to accomplish - I guess re-reading that gives me inspiration to keep working towards some of these things.

You have time tonight for knitting? I'll be there around 7pm, I think. Let me know!

I think I might be glad my earlier diaries and journals no longer exist. But, also not. I had a discussion with a friend who has gone through several lj incarnations. Why the new journals? She wants to separate herself from her past self, says it's no longer representative of who she is currently. It seems so flawed to me; certainly who she was has much relevance to the kind of person she currently is. Sure, people change, but not really.

For that reason, I (sometimes shamefully) find it important to keep as much as I can catalogued and available for reference. Like an internet library of self! I go back to my old lj entries every so often. Each time, I decide to make more and more of those entries private. So embarrassing.
