New Weird Al Song NEXT WEEK!!!

I'm temporarily coming out of LiveJournal retirement to tell you that even though Al and the band had just finished touring a month ago, Al has just recently recorded a new song and is going to release it on iTunes NEXT WEEK!!! October 7th to be exact. Then two weeks after that, it'll be available at other fine digital download stores.

This really is the best next move he could have made with his career. It's great to see that he understands how it's working out here on the internet.

The downside for me is, now instead of competing with Al every 3 or 4 years on the Dr. Demento Show countdown, it'll be all the time. D'oh! :) Whatever, I'm just happy to not have to wait years for new Al awesomeness anymore.

Wouldn't it be cool if he donated a new track to the FuMP? He probably wouldn't, but it's a cool thing to think about. Hell, he's appearing on MC Lars' next album, so maybe he'd be open to the idea.

I really did always wonder about that. Every time someone spins the wheel, everybody's all clapping like "YAAAAAY CENTRIPETAL FORCE!!!"

Anyway, YAY for new Al things! I like Weird Al. He's got a face.

The clapping is mostly for cheering on your opponents. It's a very friendly atmosphere amongst the contestants... that is until you wipe the floor with them! heh. Then they come at you with pitchforks and torches.

Plus the clapping helps keeps the flies away. They really ought to move the studio out of the barn.
