I didn't really miss AC last year, and the year before that was pretty crappy for me so I might just end going to that con on a low note. It's just too crowded, which can be good in that you'll get an opportunity to find a whole lot of people you know online but never met in person. But it's a mess also, finding people is literally locating a straw in a pile of pins. And nowadays with the increased necessary travel and even more difficult time finding a room (not to mention the hassles with the hotels, elevators, security). I'm not feeling social enough to deal with all that stuff and still be in a mood for chilling at a furry con.
I was thinking of attending this year but as it gets closer it's looking very doubtful.
You have to wonder how many people have that sentiment, and are getting that impression about AC since the move. They talk about getting more attendees each year and growth of the con. Obviously, that is true. You only have to see that they are beyond their overflow estimates, and recruiting other hotels to help out. Their first time/new attendance is obviously up. Wonder if they keep statistics on return attendance and how that is doing
