By tomorrow I will be packed and by Saturday night I will be ready to go.  I'll leave Sunday morning while it is still dark outside and drive until the sun sets

Oooh. Go see The Bean in Milennium Park. Cuz it is awesome. Hell, Milennium Park is a pretty cool place to wander around in general. You can grab something to eat for lunch and take a tour of the park. There's a number of other things to see there.

Other ideas:
--There's also Shedd Aquarium which I haven't been to but I hear is really good.
--The Sears Tower or John Hancock
--Buckingham fountain

The Science and History museum(sp.)rocks!! It's hands on. Also go see the art museum it's one of the best in the country and one of the largest I think.
