After what seems like forever, I am finally going to update the Jolteon page on my collection site and get it fully up to date! Unfortunately, I started gathering them together and I seem to be missing quite a few things - I guess last time I decided to start scanning stuff in I put it somewhere weird? I am missing all my TCG except for the Jungle

Maybe they use a different kind of paper for the production art, vs making copies? I think settei are on A4 pages but these are not the same size or shape.

My first guess was that the cels are bigger in case the camera needs to pan. My animation professor (who used to work with cels) mentioned this in class one day. If you move the cel for a camera pan, you have to be careful to leave enough room around the edges of the cel. Otherwise you'll be able to see a line where the cel ends.
But that Jolteon sketch looks like it's a standard 4 x 3 ratio (or close to it). Maybe the cels are 4 x 3 for broadcasting and the settei are A4 because that's a standard paper size in Japan?
