There are plenty of people in the circus tonight, Tegoshi realizes as they wind their way toward the gates, but then it's always like that on their first day in a new place. He almost loses sight of Yamapi twice but both times Yamapi stops and waits for Tegoshi

Yamapi is drunk. Tegoshi lost count of how many cups of sake he'd finished, and now he is completely and utterly plastered. It's not easy dragging him back to the motel the entire circus crew is stationed in for the duration of their stay but Tegoshi somehow manages, even if Yamapi seems bent on walking into as many walls, lamp posts, and garbage bins as possible.

Yamapi's sharing a room with Ryo, a short, bad-tempered guy who ate and breathed fire -- usually in the faces of crying, frightened children -- but he's not there when Tegoshi unlocks the door with Yamapi's key.

"Ah, Ryo-chan's out, huh?" Yamapi says, weaving drunkenly into the room. "Prolly with some random girl -- owHe's walked into the bathroom door and Tegoshi gently pulls him back and steers him towards the nearest bed

Tegoshi's first song is almost over, and he's singing his heart out on top of the platform where trapeze acts usually pushed off, pushing his voice almost to the limit, hands outstretched as he prepares himself for the climax. He glances down and then freezes, the next note stuck in his throat. A pair of dark eyes are looking back up at him. Wide eyes set in a face he knew.

He's here. He came."Tegoshi?" Yabu, one of his assistants, hisses from behind him. "Tegoshi, are you okay
