[A video feed starts up, of a female nation in the Dining Hall. Vietnam is trying to smile, but it is very difficult, and in a way, a lot more suspicious than if she just did not smile and relax. She's thinking she's done pretty well ignoring the mermaids, and hopefully, what she has in store will help others in the household too

[He eyes her through the feed, unconvinced of the assured expression she attempts to portray. Not very subtle, Vietnam.]

Everything's probably fine. [Back home, he means. Or at least they'd better be fine. She does raise the point, though, that their citizens are are without them in body for the time being. That can't be ignored.]

[It's taken sometime for her to get used to this device but now she's more curious about what kind of creature Vietnam is..and what all it was she was talking about.]

I don't mean to bother you with such an odd question, but what is a "birthday"?

[WHOA this lady certainly looks different. Not that she was one to talk, she wasn't exactly human either.]

Oh no, it is fine. [Vietnam waves her hands.] Hmm, let's see, a birthday is the mark of one's birth. The day of their existence, in a way. Although in some cases it can mean the start of something. It is celebrated each year on the same day.

[And she's quiet, listening to this explanation of such a foreign word. Though once she hears some familiar/similar terminology?

Oh! It's another term for Wriggling Day then! [Though Wriggling Days only happen each Alternian Solar Sweep instead of each year so she's now a little mentally unsure if it really is the same thing. This will need to be investigated more even though she's not Redglare.]

[Vietnam raises her eyebrow in confusion, this is new.] Perhaps, I suppose each place has a different way of calling it!
