My Special Happiness
Episode 4
Part 2

Leila and Hana were like two of Charlie's Angels when they arrived at the condo. From the moment they stepped out of the taxi, they have been very attentive. They would turn their eyes to everyone who passed by and would be very observant of sudden movements. They gave second looks to tall skinny men just so they will be sure that the next time they encounter Junno and/or Kame, they won't be caught off guard and they won't act like fools.

Dexter amused himself by watching the two girls act strangely. When the elevator doors opened, they quickly and excitedly looked inside but were downhearted when it was empty.

"You girls are really something..." Dexter said when they entered the elevator. He pushed the button for their floor and Leila's eyes widened.
"Dex-kun!" she exclaimed.
"WHAT?!"
"When we got inside the elevator, Kame and Junno were there already, right?"
"Uhm... right..."

Leila smiled at Hana. "I guess that only confirms it, ne, Hana-chan?"
"That we live next door to Kame?" Hana grinned.
"Hai!"

The two girls started to jump up and down again, squealing. A startled Dexter clung to the elevator walls as it shook.

"Stop it!" he yelled. The girls stopped jumping and looked at him.
"What?" they both said.
"If you guys break the elevator we'll get stuck here!"
"Don't be silly." Leila told him with a laugh.

Dexter calmed himself down.

"Eh? Leila-sama..." said Hana.
"Yeah?"
"I think it's not moving..."
"Huh?"

Leila gasped when she realized that the elevator had stopped. She looked at the number on the screen. They were stuck on the 3rd floor.

"No!" Leila tried to pry open the elevator doors.
"We're stuck!" exclaimed Dexter. "What are we going to do?! We're going to die!"

Hana helped Leila try to open the door.

"I can't die here! I can't!" Dexter said in a panic. "Everybody stop breathing! Don't breather my air!"

Leila walked over to Dexter and slapped the side of his head.

"Timang! (Lunatic!)" she said, then went back to opening the door.

Dexter rubbed the side of his head and composed himself. "Sumimasen, Leila-sama..."

"There's supposed to be a 'pull in case of emergency' button here, right?" Leila said as she shifted her attention to the buttons at the side. "Or a phone or talk button or something..."

Even though everything was in Japanese, she was sure that there was no such button there.

"Look! A camera!" Hana said.

The three of them started to wave their arms on the camera yelling 'HELP!'. Unknown to them, the security personnel who was supposed to be watching the monitor was busy reading a manga while listening to a KAT-TUN song in his music player.

Kame was lying down on his bed and playing with a baseball. The day went pretty well for he and Junno. He thought  it was rather enjoyable.

He arrived about an hour ago and was thankful that he got home earlier than usual. But now that he had all the time to sleep early, he couldn't. He got tired of trying to make himself sleep. He thought about paying a Junno a visit but then remembered that he planned to play pool again tonight.

He decided to go to the kitchen and cook. He was feeling a bit hungry anyway.

He took out whatever was decent in his refrigerator, put it together, and cooked it. He thought it resembled something he cooked in Cartoon KAT-TUN and remembered Junno. He gave him a ring.

"Moshi moshi?"
"Hai, Kazuya desu."
"Oh, hi."
"Where are you?"
"I'm on my way back. Why?"
"Stop by my place. I cooked something."
"Eh? Okay."

He hung up and smiled at his masterpiece. He tasted the soup and was disappointed.

"Needs some salt..."

***

15 minutes had passed already.

"Maybe no one can see us..." Dexter said.
"Oh you're a lot of help Dexter." Hana retorted.
"They'll find out we're here sooner or later, right?" asked Leila.
"Yes, I suppose so. And there's only two elevators in this building so perhaps they'll find out we're here pretty soon."
"How long do we have to wait? Can't we call someone?"
"Do you know anyone we can call?" asked Leila. Dexter thought of Kenshin-san, but he was probably occupied right now. And it would be embarassing to call him about it. He shook his head. "I thought so."

Leila sat down on the floor and made herself comfortable.

"I guess we'll just have to wait." she told them.
"Yosh..." Hana sat beside her. "Come on, Dex."
"Are we not going to suffocate here? This is a closed space... We can't stay here for long."

Leila smiled at him assuringly. "We'll be fine."

"How do you know?"
"Well, first of all because this is a rather wide elevator and there's only the three of us here. I don't think we'll suffocate immediately." she said. "And also, see that screen up there?"

Dexter looked up to where Leila was pointing.

"I'm pretty sure that's a vent or something so we can pop it open if it's getting hard to breathe in here already--well you can pop it because you're the only one who's tall enough to reach it. But I doubt we'd need to do that because I'm sure we'll be out of here in no time."

Dexter finally sat down beside them as well.

"We've been here long enough already." he complained.
"Stop whining." said Hana. "This isn't so bad. Ne, Leila-sama?"
"Well, aside from the fact that I'm getting hungry again and my plans of stalking Kame from the terrace is now spoilt because of this elevator incident--yes, I guess this isn't so bad." she chuckled.
"OH! I almost forgot!" said Hana.

She reached inside her pocket and took out a Choco Baby.

"CHOCO BABY!" Dexter and Leila screamed at the same time.

***

Kame looked around and wondered where the sound came from.

He realized that he was out of salt so he decided to drop by the a convenience store to buy some. The elevator was taking too long, and the other seems to be broken so he decided to take the stairs--from the 7th floor.

He heard somebody yell and realized that it was coming for the elevator. He grimaced, thinking that perhaps he was just hearing things, but then he heard it again.

Maybe they're stuck? I better check. They might need help.

"Hello?" he called. He pressed his ear against the doors. "Is someone there?"

He could still here the voices and he could tell that there was more than one person inside.

"Hello?" he called louder.

***

"Shh! Shhh, shhh, shhh..." said Leila. She thought she heard a voice. She heard someone's voice calling.
"Woh! We're saved!" said Hana.

The three of them heard the voice again.

"He's talking in Japanese!" said Leila. Dexter moved towards the crack between the elevator doors and answered the voice in Japanese. The voice answered them again and then Dexter faced the girls.

"We're saved indeed!" he told them. "He said he'll get some help."
"YAY!!!!!" Leila and Hana said at the same time.
"Can I have some more babies?" Leila suddenly asked Hana, as if nothing had happened.
"Sure."

***

"This sucks." said Hana.

Another 15 minutes had passed...and another...but they were still inside the elevator. The maintenance personnel still couldn't figure out what happened. They were saying that perhaps one of the lines were stuck or jammed. The elevator doors in the third floor had already been opened, but as bad luck would have it, the elevator itself was stuck between the second and third floor so the trio couldn't come out.

The 'vent' that Leila saw was far too small for them to squeeze into so there was no telling when they could get out.

Dexter was talking to someone from outside while Leila and Hana were crouched behind him, both even more upset now because they ran out of chocolates.

"I'm hungry..." complained Leila.
"Me too..."

Dexter finished talking to the people outside and turned to the girls. "I told you, you should not have jumped inside the elevator. It's your fault."

The girls sighed sadly.

"Eh... Sorry sorry... Joke lang (It's just a joke)... Don't be sad." said Dexter.
"If I hadn't been so excited about stalking, we wouldn't be stuck here." said Leila. Hana nodded.
"But it's not so bad, right? You guys said it wasn't so bad..."
"But it's bad now, Dex-kun." said Hana. "We're tired, very hungry, and definitely bored. I just want to go to sleep already."
"And if we don't brush our teeth, we'll get cavities from all the Choco Baby we ate." added Leila.
"That too." agreed Hana.
"You guys are really concerned about your teeth?!"

Leila chuckled.

"Yeah, I guess this isn't so bad." she said. "How often do you get stuck in an elevator in Japan anyway?"

They all laughed.

***

"Umai!" Junno exclaimed.

He was at Kame's unit and happily eating what Kame had cooked.

"Arigato." said Kame. He looked at the door and thought about the people stuck inside the elevator. He wondered if they had made it out already. He somehow felt accountable for their safety since he was the one who discovered them.

"Hey." Junno called his attention. He reached across the table and waved his hand in front of Kame's face.
"Hmm? Nani?"
"What are you thinking about?" Junno asked him.
"Oh.. ano... There are some people stuck inside the elevator."
"Ah... so that's what's going on there. They were still stuck on my way up here."
"Soo ka?"
"Mm. Nande?"

Kame started to eat his noodles.

"I don't know. I just feel a bit concerned..."
"Probably because you discovered them, ne?"
"Exactly." Kame said with bright eyes, happy that Junno knew exactly how he was feeling. And perhaps happier that Junno was able to read the atmosphere.
"We can go check on the situation later if you want. See if they're out already. I'm feeling a bit intrigued myself."
"Hai." nodded Kame.

***

Leila, Hana, and Dexter lay inside the elevator.

Dexter lay as straight as the dead except one of his hands were under his head. Leila lay on her back, her knees bent and her hands clasped together on her tummy. Hana lay on her side, her hands together and tucked under her ear like a pillow.

Leila sang in fragments. Her voice filled the elevator which looked bigger to her now that she was lying down.

"My Angel, you are Angel... Hmm hmm hmm.. dadada naku raini... Yakusoku ninatta..." she sang, almost in a whisper.
"Leila-sama..." Hana whispered.
"Hmm?"
"Let's go to sleep..."

Leila smiled.

"Hai... Good night, Hana-chan."
"Night, boss..."
"Good night, Dex-kun..."
"Oyasumi nasai, Leila-sama..."

***

Kame pressed his ear against the elevator doors. Junno did the same.

"What are we trying to hear?" he whispered to Kame.

Kame stepped back and placed his hands in his pockets. He looked at the monitor screen on top of the elevator to see if there were numbers moving. It was blank.

"I think they closed it." Junno told him. "Maybe the got them out, ne?"

Kame stared at the elevator doors, then looked at Junno.

"I guess so."
"Ne, let's take a rest now. Long day tomorrow." Junno said as he started walking.
"Hai."

Kame followed Junno who had already pushed the 'up' button of the second elevator. He took a quick glance at the closed elevator doors before following Junno inside.
