Back in college, drinking with my friends would be our past time. We would drink at night or during long breaks. We would drink when we had problems or when we are just waiting for time and just want to hang out and talk. I never understood the need nor desire to drink just to while away my time. I always thought I could put my money to better use by saving it and spending it on a nice bag. :)
Drinking was purely social for me and if I get a nice buzz, then cool.
Anyway, it's great that you don't mind the long hours and all that work. After all, it's your first post-college office job. Eventually, I'm sure you'll settle into a nice routine. And maybe a different ad agency to work in where they won't make you mega-slave away.

i don't spend for my drinking. :) most of the time it's my guy friends who pay for our drinks. :P
