It seems like ages since I last logged into LJ. I really think I was starting to get withdrawal symptoms!

The reason for my enforced absence is that Owen has been really sick. He started throwing up last Friday and the puke fest finally finished Monday (you have NO idea how much washing I did last weekend *shudders at the thought*).  We went to

Oh, so sorry to hear about Owen being ill, glad to hear that he's better now. It's awful when your kid is ill, worse than being ill yourself. (As you know with yourself that you WILL be okay eventually...but with your child all sorts of horrible scenarios cross your mind and you worry terribly.)

Nick used to get REALLY ill regularly for about two weeks every September for YEARS. (I reckon now it must have been an allergy to some tree pollen or something.) But the doctors we went to were USELESS...one even suggested it was an allergy to our cats, when we'd had cats since before he was born and at this point he was about eleven
