Yay for your new family member(s)! I think that was a really cool idea, to get what you wanted without adding to pet overpopulation. And she is a pretty girl; I'd keep her, since she seems to be so sweet! :)

She is quite pretty, and nice and well-behaved. She doesn't even mind when SAM gets up in her face when she is eating. (He's fascinated with her.)

But I'm still enamored of idea of being a foster, there are so many cats needing rescue. (And I really like tiny baby kittens.) We'll see. :)

So um...pet over population...yeah.

When I worked at UT we also ran an incinirator. We constatnly had...erm...'stuff' coming in from Blount County. Since Knox County has all 'no-kill' shleters they just take the overflow population to Blount County shelters were they have a very short euthanization policy. Thus the endless bags of corpses we would get at UT since the incinirator in Blount Country had far more then they can take.

Not one of my better work experiences. So my opinion of pets is rather jaded and squeded to no pets. Add allergies to cats worse the Hoshiadam's and where I work...I have far more then enough animals around me.

But congrades on the cat. DAT was very happy about it.

Knox County does have the Young-Williams kill shelter - where the website says they kill more than 10,000 unwanted animals a year. :( So I figured that's a good reason for me to help if I can manage.

DAT was quite excited about the cat. :) She even came out of hiding this morning and let him pet her.

Hmm, I have no naming inspiration whatever. I always lean towards T.S. Eliot's "The Naming of Cats" and want to name them all Jellylorum or something. :)

Oh! She's gorgeous!

I would say trying to keep her name at least still starting with an M would help her transition. Common Siamese M names: Mia, Mai -silk, Mani -gem, Morakot -precious stone, Malee -flower, Mali -jasmine, Maliwan -climbing jasmine, Montha -a kind of magnolia, MuanChan -moon-like, MuanNang -ladylike, Manoj -mind, Mana -persistence

As to his allergies: Drew also has allergies, and one thing we do that really helps is that Fae is not allowed in our bedroom under any circumstances.

I think Seth has decided that she needs to keep her whole name. :)

Yep, we're doing that. :) Hoshiadam is on allergy drops, too, but it's only been three weeks, so it's really too soon to test them.
