A year ago I wrote that I'm back home; it's wierd, because this time around, the feeling is much different. Yeah, I'm home; -- living somewhere for 18 years is kind of formative and generally infused with enough memories to be considered such -- but in ways, this house isn't as much as a home anymore. There have been a lot of changes: the kitchen, ( Read more... )

Yeah, I'm really pissed about my leg. I was feeling great this morning, super excited to go dancing, and then I sat down. Oh my god. I have never felt so much anger in my leg before simply from sitting down. So I had to sit (not happily, either) last night out. Blargh, man. Blargh.

Can we do something next saturday?

I'm down; I'll be doing a pasta party next Friday most likely, but I would keep Saturday night open to go out to Rage as well.

And I'm sorry about the leg. It's still residual stuff from your performances this last semester, right?

I think I will be able to go! I am only working until 8 pm, after all.

Yeah, it is...and apparently it will come and go for a while. Blah. I need to go clubbing and preferrably with you.

If I was going to be in LA this summer AND if my mom hadn't moved us out to the valley, you would be working pretty close to my apartment. But, you know. Not so much.

Ohhh Stephen, I am going to miss you.

Ahhh, Santa Monica!

And I'll be missing you. But we'll always have the internets!

Waitwait, what's nerdnoise? They sound brilliant.

Perhaps not-so-strangely, your second year sounds like the second half of mine. My first year was a bit disappointing - my shy streak, to say nothing of my 'run the hell away' streak, came out big time and I wound up pretty alienated. The first half of the second year was actually worse. But then, I made some connections and Oberlin started feeling properly like home. I started growing instead of just learning more stuff.

And then, I did a year abroad in the UK. Just so you know you're not original ;)

Nerdnoise is a group on campus that is basically a music club, with each member informing others about concerts, new music, etc. But they also do random events sometimes -- such as the four-square, the pillow fight, and the iPod dance party we did on Sproul.

And yeah, it's a good feeling. Although I, for one, was much more in for VtM than D&D back in the day.
