Theoretically Hawaiians already have sovereignty meaning that we can determine our destiny BUT the U.S. government would like us to believe that we should fight for sovereignty so that we are and our nation (called the Nation of Hawaii aka "the Kingdom of Hawaii") are officially recognized. What gets me is why people don't see this as simple logic. Self-determination is supposed to be the american way, but they are bent on keeping all the indigenous peoples from enjoying that right too.
