And don't worry, the holidays make everyone nauseatingly wholesome. My mom and brothers and I always do the cookie thing and we are not very traditional and wholesome and that sort of thing at all.
My home life was nowhere near wholesome (not like that! We just argued a lot and never did the whole family get-together things because no one outside of my immediate family could stand the way we argued all the time.) And let me tell you, wholesome cannot be over-rated. If it's wholesome covering up something, that's not good, but you sound like you have a perfectly normal home life and I imagine you know since you're clearly grateful.
That photo of the plate of cookies looks like something I'd love to embroider onto a pillow. I might just do that. What do you want me to call it? Your options are many and varied and include "Hanuu Pillow," "HE Pillow," or (my personal favorite and the Queen of the In Joke) "Doctor and Andy Pillow." (Or make something up for yourself. It'll take me a while to turn that into a pattern anyway and it'll be a crewel pattern which isn't my preferred artform but straight embroidery just won't cut it...)

I'm glad it's not just me.

I love, love, love the idea of the Doctor and Andy pillow. Love it. If you feel like it, go right ahead.
