Yeesss. . .I wanted "painful" to come across, at least somewhere in the story. . .so I'm glad you felt that. Of course, I'm just glad you read it, thank you SO MUCH for that, you always make my day when you show up over here : ) ♥

Oh goodness, thanks for reposting and giving me a sharp reminder I never commented on this. It's such a quick slice of time in that whole progression of horror and unbelievable events. Getting this little glimpse, both of Dean processing what was happening, and Jo wanting to be part of it, is just great.

Thanks for this. It helps illuminate the canon.

I am continually posting and unposting and reposting things all over the place these days as I try and figure out where to "store" all my fic, I guess you'd say, or maybe I should say, "decide what I want to do with all of it." LOL, what a loon I am. I'm glad you read it -- I had hoped you'd like it, the tenseness of Dean in the water, near drowning, was what drove me, and then I felt the need to toss in the "Dean not breathing great" afterward, as well as the Jo stuff -- not that I ship them but I can see where others definitely would. As for illuminating canon -- what a great thing to say, don't know if it's true but it at least widens my idea of it, heh. : )

What a freaking long reply I just gave you -- all that to say thanks for your response, and most of all, for always being your awesome self : )

Oh, awesome -- thank you! : ) And you are right -- the gifs are the highlight. . .Dean is scrumptious and the story wouldn't be the same without them : )

It's a good thing it was such cold water Dean fell into - it probably slowed down his heart rate enough so he didn't bleed out in the water and drown - though I'm sure you've got it down just how exhausting and nasty it would have felt. I liked the gifs and how you embedded them in the text and between other pics.

I'm not an expert by any means. . .but I do know that, yes, cold water -- above average, cold water, like Lake Superior cold -- does, like you said -- slow everything down, to a certain extent. But Dean could only last a certain amount of time in that kind of water, with that kind of current dragging him along, and I was hoping to convey that window of time that he had. And the gifs -- yes, they are wonderful. I cannot take the credit but they are awesome and definitely helped me write this story. Thank you for both reading and letting me know your thoughts : )
