You know, it just occurred to me that although I talked a lot about my Product Development project, the plus size lingerie line, I never shared the final results.

I don't have a lot to share, I admit. My teammate kept the booklet that we made even though I wrote every word of its contents, but no, I'm not bitter at all about it and she refused to ( Read more... )

That's a very lovely naked body, and I really don't think it shows enough to make it inappropriate to display in class. But then, I'm the one writing a paper on intersex human rights, so two weeks of writing about the effects of genital surgery may be skewing my perception somewhat ;-)

I would definitely buy that last pink set, too, and maybe the bodyshaper if it's not too confining. I don't normally go for "shaping" products, but I do like that look.

I don't think either of our perspectives are skewed; I think some of my teachers are just, you know, wrong.

But yay! That's music to my ears, man. And no, the body shaper isn't confining at all. It's a very lightweight fabric that's tailored to hug your curves, not **cough** punish them. That was one of my slogans, I couldn't help using it!

Awww, thank you so much, sweetie! **blushes like MAD** That means so much to me to hear. I'm really proud of this; the execution itself might've fumbled a bit, but the idea is really solid and if I had the capital, I'd start it up in a heartbeat.

**cough** Me too. And I am seriously, seriously considering it, but to be honest, I wouldn't know how to go about finding investors or anything like that. Do you think there would be any legal weirdness, considering that it was conceived as part of a team?

Very cool, and I really love your play on Eyefull. Very smart and sassy.

As for the body controversy. That's just crazy. The photograph looks interesting and I don't see how the target consumer should be disturbing. People. *shakes head*

Thank you! It was really a fun project, and I'd love to be able to actually make it happen.

Yeah, when I first proposed the idea of doing plus-size lingerie, I was so excited about it and couldn't figure out why all of my classmates and teachers had such a lukewarm reaction, but I think it's true - the fashion industry is allergic to the plus-size market, which IMO is just ridiculous. I have to admit that it's less because I'm a champion of different body types then the fact that it's probably the largest growing American demographic, and it's just silly not to take advantage of it.
