Ian Mackaye is an absolute hero to me; he taught us all a different way to be, one that embraces tolerance, patience, love, understanding, loyalty, passion and honour. A real third way that our pathetic excuses for leaders couln't even begin to comprehend let alone embrace and more's the pity. So yeah, Ian Mackaye for President!
The bands are all local - do yourselves a favour and check out the various Myspace links etc that are up - I'll post more in time - there's at least 3 bands round here that really deserve to be heard by a global audience let alone a national one. All I and my co-promoters can do is help them along - it's our way of bringing something to the table so to speak.
