Okay, I was going to watch some shows to catch up (we're really behind b/c our computer was broken), but then I decided I was too tired. I sat down to shut off the computer, and instead I thought to myself, "I'm really behind on LJ, I'll just read it really quick, and then go to bed ( Read more... )

Hey, this is Pamela. I don't have LiveJournal so I guess I have to post it as anonymous? I saw your link on FaceBook so thought I'd come and check it out! I know exactly what you mean about high school-- I didn't have my first real date until college! And I always wondered, why the heck not? I didn't even feel like I was that dorky! : ) So what was my problem? Probably you are right, guys were too intimidated by us because we were awesome!

I'm pretty sure since you have a blog that you can comment using the OpenID option and just put in your blog address.

yeah, that's definitely it. we were just TOO awesome! haha That's what I'll keep telling myself, anyway. :)

I never had a real girlfriend until after high school either but it wasn't for lack of trying, hahaha. I too was dorky and so were all of my friends and yet many of them dated. I had one "girlfriend" freshmen year but it only lasted a few weeks and we only even hung out once. I didn't just get crushes in high school, I would fall hard for girls. Seeing as a lot of my friends were girls my love would sort of rotate between them and I'm pretty sure among the four main ones (there were 2 fringe friends that this happened with a few times) I probably asked them out and was turned down around 100 times during my high school years. Sadly they all loved me, but as a brother, not in a romantic way. One cool story is that the one I liked the most and had been asking out since 7th grade, she and I ended up hanging out all summer after graduation and got together. We had a wonderful 4 year relationship and were engaged to be married and it was my happiest and best relationship ever and pretty much the reason I rarely even try with women ( ... )

The girl that's your soulmate... is she still around? Do you ever talk to her? Just curious...

maybe you're right about the awkwardness. I've just found that I can be really friendly with people on facebook, and then have no idea what to say to them face to face. I'm just weird, I guess.
