i talked to a dylan today, he's back from savanah, he has long hair now,

the other night i was thinking about how boys are always growing out there hair as teenagers, starting with the late 60's or so, with the hippies then the 70's it progressed, the 80's it was the punks with long ponytails, which carried into the grunge, with long pony tails, ( Read more... )

I think I can shed some light on this 'un. I doubt I'm especially 'emo', but I do have rather a lot of hair in the sense that if Karl Marx started going on about redistributing the hair my head would be on the chopping block for practical purposes.

No, I'm not rebelling. I'm economizing. Haircuts and sharp things tend to cost money that it would be pointless to spend. Or I'm lazy. To be fair, mulletude is one thing; it is worth £5 to stamp out a budding ape drape, but in simple cases of rebelhead like you've mentioned, the heart of the matter is laziness, cheapness or stupidity. Possibly emo-osity, but that is just an excuse. Besides, there's always the chance that some flamboyant Frenchman with too much enthusiasm and not enough self-control will take off an ear: you're not seeing emo hair on van Gogh, are you now?

haha i didn't really understand all of that but most.

and van gogh chopped his ear off because he was crazy and drank turpentine.
