"Oi, hold on." People were not meant to be running through the halls all willy nilly. Reginald stopped the kid before he could go plunging into unsecured areas. "Where do you think you're going?"

"Oi! I'm trying to talk to my mom, over there!" He pointed to Nancy, who did wave him over. Sid glanced up, annoyed at the auror for... no reason. But he was desperately hoping that the auror would let him by.

Well, if that was the case then the bloke was nearly there anyway. So far as he wasn't going anywhere else... Reginald had other things to worry about. "Fine. But DON'T go wandering about," he warned sternly. "We're still trying to clean this up. Stay with your mum and don't get in the way." For good measure he gave the bloke's arm a good squeeze before letting it go.

Damn kids, running through scenes.

Sid barely heard the auror once he realized he was going to be let through. He ran to Nancy who hugged him as he got there. "Where's Mum? Is she okay? What happened?"

Nancy was crying when Sid got there and they hugged before Sid pulled back and looked at her. She composed herself and told Sid that she didn't know. She had no idea what had happened to his Mum.

Sid felt his stomach drop. A flash of something terrible happening to his mum appeared in his mind. Panicking, he glanced over to the area that was sectioned off. He was going to have to find her himself.
