Glad the job is going well! Change can be daunting, but it's nice when you're happier after the change than before. It makes the STRESS! all worth it.

The pennies made me laugh. Childhood concepts are fascinating, aren't they? I can think of a number of ridiculous ones of my own. To coincide with yours, after reading "The Mouse and the Motorcycle", I was convinced one could make toy cars go just by making the proper noise. When it didn't work, I remember feeling pretty foolish and actually looking around to make sure no one had seen me. Man, that was sad.

How nice to have a non-typhus reputation. Go, you.

it was well worth the wait, that's for sure! i remember first thinking i should get out a year and a half ago, but none of the jobs out there really caught my attention until this one. and the whole thing with the drug dealers merging with another company... the dynamic would have inevitably changed (for better or worse) but really, i was just ready to move on and i'm so glad that the grass is really greener over here! :)

awww! it's hard when one's perceptions of things are dashed to tiny bits. if it helps console you at all, i think that things go better when you accompany them with the appropriate revving/motor noises -- like my car when i'm going around a curve or accelerating...

ya!

I'm glad you like work so far. :) not to worry, btw, anything you say here in LJ land is secret and safe and will not come back to haunt you in work land. I would never even refer to LJ at work. so you needn't feel censored by me, kay? Have a nice weekend!!

thanks! :) likewise to you; i shall say nothing about livejournal within the confines of work.

and i can understand your warnings regarding C, but i think having been warned, i will be able to just let the certain negativities slide. her similar interests and plying me with chocolate make everything alright ;) i just hope she can tolerate my incessant positivity. sometimes it horrifies even myself.

That comment from the doctor is her sly way of asking if you're having sex yet. Seriously.

She shoulda just asked you outright.

Glad to hear you're enjoying work. Is it snowing there? We woke up to 17 inches of it this morning! Needless to say, we're not doing renos at the 'rents house but staying in to have a 'snow day'. :)

that's what i figured she was getting at ;) for all she knows i could be a shameless hussy with all sorts of sordid affairs going on with different fellows! (and none of them are actually boyfriends!!)... but... uhhh... that's not the case.

it was snowing here around 9-10pm last night. BIG FAT FLAKES!!! i mean, there's the usual lower mainland wet snowfall, but this was something else! there were a few inches on the ground and then this morning by about 11am, it was all melted and it's now sunny and the flowers are recovering (hopefully!).
