60. Purple prose, Bridge-style~

Sep 07, 2009 10:22

It amazes me how my brain, so complex and full of nooks and crannies and gray matter and various thoughts all merging together into one complicated stream running throughout my consciousness, can be tuned to one simple idea upon waking.

Cut for length (yes, it did get that long; this IS Bridge we're talking about) )

~storm, +locket, +krile (cara), ~skulls, ic, bridge!!!!, this is your brain on bridge, +twin-chan (rabbit), event: purple prose

Has my beautiful writing moved someone to tears of joy? Oh, what a happy day this is!

Oh, good heavens, my dearest friend of finger-wiggles and enthusiastic speculation.

This appears to have brought out the worst of my tendency toward ceaseless prattle, at least in writing~ It almost pains me to imagine what it would be like if I actually conversed aloud in such a manner!

Ah, but I find said prattle to be a pleasant way to break the silence, a way to vent one's deepest, darkest thoughts. Silence is never that sparkling shade of gold for me, unless you reach that moment where words run dry. That is... if you know in which manner I speak.

True, I much enjoy conversing as well, even though there are times when I can speak with haste and, as the saying goes, "put my foot in my mouth". However, I have never found myself at a loss for words before~ even when I am embarrassed or flustered I cannot seem to put a cork in it.

I did not know that you were in possession of a robotic dog. This seems a most unusual but fortuitous occasion as I did not know that anyone here had a robot. The hardy yet tempermental machines were something that I had not seen during my short but influential time in the Sphere. This is probably because I am still fairly new to the Sphere, at least when compared to some of our more illustrious and well-known residents who have been here long enough to remember something as basic yet vital as their name. But it is not on the sheer factor of the marvelous robotic dog that I am talking to you. For some reason that I cannot explain, my memory has given me a strong sense of familiarity with the concept of a dog of the robotic persuasion. Perhaps there is a slight chance that I had met such a machine in my former life before being transplanted into that fateful cocoon and awaken in the Sphere?

I am quite happy to have helped you remember such a thing from your past, if only vaguely! It is quite possible that you have been acquainted with a dog similar to Logan Sparky McRuffles the Second before!

I myself was fortunate enough to find Logan broken up into various pieces in the Scavengers' Yard whilst going about the daily duties required by my profession as a Scavenger. I slowly gathered these pieces, keeping them in my house, cleaning them and putting them together where I could, and along the way, much to my surprise, I received a Memory Crystal whilst out foraging for sustenance one day that showed me the process by which I could re-assemble him! Activating him was one of the proudest moments of my entire extistence in Edensphere, even if he does stubbornly refuse my attempts to make him act as a proper dog!

TL;DR time ahoy! doctorears September 7 2009, 16:29:56 UTC
From the way that you were describing the dog I now know as 'Logan Sparky McRuffles the Second', it seems that indeed I did know a robot dog from my past. This situation fills me with glee and happiness, though with confusion. I am happy because I am one step closer to finding out who I am and deciphering the meaning of my confusing and troublesome memory. The information of knowing a robot dog was somehow important in my past life and somehow related to me as a person. For this, I am thankful. However, I am confused as well. There was nothing in my memory or my dream to suggest that I owned a robot dog. Indeed, the technology seen in my memory did not seem capable enough to produce a feat such as a robot as complicated and grand as a robot dog. Perhaps it was the feat of one of the looming, ominous metal machines from my dream ( ... )

I am glad you enjoy Logan's full name! I asked for suggestions in this very journal when he was close to completion and liked all of the ones that were submitted, and so combined them into one full name, adding "the second" upon the end as it is the second time I have assembled him, if my memory is anything to go by.

I am very pleased to hear that I have unintentionally assisted in helping you find another piece of the puzzle that is your past, even if it may not be much help right now. Perhaps if you are lucky, you will be like me and find your robotic friend in the Scavengers' Yard sometime soon?

Alas, such sweet sugary things do seem not to suit the tastes of my palate, but, however, my heart is gladdened to hear that your breakfast meal this sunrise was delicious and buttery to such an extent as to move you to scribe such heartfelt and true-spoken verbs, nouns, and adjectives to describe it.

And it soars my heart on wings of gossamer threads of happiness and elation to see that there is, in this sphere, at least one other individual besides myself, Cara, who is able to find joyful mirth and amusement in this newest recent turning of the events of the grand and lofty grand Tree in which all of us dwell and abode. Indeed, what could there be to do excepting to enjoy this and let the laughter overflow at the ostentatious way in which we are forced to pen the thoughts of our minds?

[I don't have much of a sweet tooth, but I'm glad you liked it! And it's nice to see someone is enjoying this. How can't you?]

I am so happy to hear that my happiness is pleasing you~ I have found myself unable to contain my strange compulsion to wriggle the fingers on my black leather-gloved right hand every time I say the word "buttery" aloud, however. I have attempted to suppress this urge, but alas have been so far unsuccessful.

This is one of the many random happenings in the Sphere I have greatly enjoyed, only because it appears to suit my personality and very nature so well.
