Beth has a Day Off. Two per week, to keep up with pre-apocalypse labor laws.

She is in jeans! And a tank top! And in no way looks like a hooker!

Grinning, she tosses her hair over her shoulder and settles down at a table to people watch.

Anna takes note of faces she's seen before.

And, of course, of faces she has never seen before.

Which is why she offers Beth a slight closemouthed smile.

"Hello. Long day?"

Grinning, "Actually today's my day off. I was checking out the sights before... you know. Nightfall."

Dangerous beasties about!

"Day off? I can't remember the last time I had one of those."

She laughs very quietly.

"Gardening takes a great deal of effort."

"There's a garden?" Beth asks, delighted.

"Where?"

There is at least one person available for watching! Daniel is sitting at another table, currently doing something fiddly with several bits of leather. He was at the exchange earlier, trading. His tack won't hold up forever, after all. In fact it isn't holding up great now, which makes this more of a necessity than a convenience...

Anyway. His boots are dusty and there is a scabbed up scratch on his forehead, courtesy of the skinny (formerly stray) cat who in theory protects their stores from mice.

Beth frowns and looks down at her hands, then back up.

"Are you ok?"

Daniel blinks and looks up. Oh.

"Sure. Just concentrating. Sewing isn't one of my usual skills, and leather isn't easy to work with anyway."

Pause.

"Was I making strange faces?"

She gestures to her forehead, approximately where the scratch is on his.

"You've got a scratch."
