[The house that Sayaka had been staying at has finally become liveable again, which is always good news. The bad news, she's found some of her old stuff that she had to leave behind while escaping the flood. She's currently kneeling down and staring dejectedly at a violin on the floor that is far too soaked to be saved. She sighs.]

[Not only did he hear the scream loudly over his Dreamberry, he also heard it coming from the house behind his (for, at the time, he had been in the garden between the two houses). A bit curious, and maybe a little alarmed, he decides to find out what has happened.]

Sayaka, is everything okay?

[Unfortunately, this was one of Sayaka's better mechanisms for coping with loss, thanks to Mozart's departure from Somarium. And really, making a fool out of herself in the network is far better than picking up her sword and slaughtering things like a maniac.]

Okay?! Of course not, Lelouch! My violin! I survived so many Coliseum matches just to save enough to buy it! Completely ruined thanks to this stupid flood! I'm so---[Insert incomprehensible irate verbal keysmash gibberish here.]

Ah, try to relax, Sayaka. I can understand where losing a treasured instrument would be very upsetting, I would have been upset had my piano been destroyed by the flood.

[A pause]

Is there anything I can do to help you?

[...

Hm.

Hmmmm.

HMMMMMMMMMMM.]

... So your piano is perfectly fine?

[He nods a bit]

Everything in the mansion has been restored to what it was before the flood, if not better. Some of my appliances were even upgraded.

[Hohoho, then... Sayaka practically shoves her face closer to the camera.]

Then... Let me practice on it! Please! I can't live if I'm not productive with my lessons and practice sessions! I'll die! Die of unproductivity-ness!

Sayaka, please calm down.

[Is unproductivity-ness even a word...?]

I'm fine with you coming over to use my piano, but wouldn't you rather purchase a new violin?

[IT'S A WORD NOW, according to Sayaka's world of poor academic scores. :|b AND NO SHE WILL NEVER CALM DOWN.]

I don't have enough cash on me to get a new one right away! Plus, they just rebuilt the shops! Finding a violin is gonna be like looking for hay in a needle-stack!

[And, almost like an afterthought, Sayaka adds:] ... plus, I need to practice the piano too. I don't wanna disappoint Maestro Chopin.

Sayaka, you could just ask myself, one of our other neighbors, or one of your house-mates to help you purchase a new violin if you haven't the money to purchase one right now. Pay them back when you've earned the money, do some things for them that need to be done like housework or errands. There are several ways you could earn the money quickly. [A beat] As for finding one? I'm sure it won't be too difficult, have you seen the shops? They look magnificent, like they have never been touched by the flood waters.

[He smiles at the Dreamberry screen, a bit amused at Sayaka and at this conversation in general.]

Would you like to join Nunnally and me one afternoon for lunch? You could use the piano, impress us with your skill afterward.

There's no way I'm going to borrow money from anyone.

[Because really, that goes against her moral code. At least she's got a piano to practice on until Schneizel gets one for their house.]

I wouldn't mind lunch, though. Maybe I'll have Mami-san come with me too. But I have to warn you, my skills might not be worth being impressed with.

[A bit surprised at her response, he shrugs]

I'll be the judge of whether or not your skills are impressive. [A beat] What day works best for both you and Mami? Also, what sort of food do you two enjoy?

Heh, if you say so.

[Well, if she was ever going to be a musician, she'll have to get used to playing in front of people. It probably wouldn't be so bad.]

I'm not picky with food, but Mami-san has a fondness for tea and cake.

Afternoon tea sounds wonderful.

[He pauses, thinking to himself for a moment... He doesn't know too much about these girls, so this will be a wonderful opportunity to get to know them a bit better without their roommates around. Suzaku did complicate matters at times...]

I have some tidying and grocery shopping to do before I let you two come for lunch, so I should probably start on that as soon as possible. Does tomorrow at 2pm work for the both of you?

It's fine with me, and I'm sure Mami-san wouldn't turn down a chance to share a cup of tea with others, no matter what time it is.

Wonderful, Nunnally and I will be looking forward to your arrival.

[He smiles]

Take care, Sayaka, until tomorrow.

[Lelouch quickly ends the video call and goes inside to prepare a grocery list for tomorrow's lunch with Sayaka and Mami. He's looking forward to it. Why? Well, not because he and his sister are making new friends. Heavens no, there's far more to why Lelouch does what he does than something as simple as that..]
