I always hate to think of Eight in the Time War - he seems so full of joy at life, even with his darker side.
He does, doesn't he? He's always struck me as one of the most emotionally vulnerable Doctors, so it seemed reasonable to me that he would be so devastated by the war that he would refuse to face its aftermath. Anyway, thanks for reading. Glad you enjoyed it!
That is just beautiful: lyrical, moving, perfectly in character, and River as The River is magnificent and a touch of genius. And I so love Ten coming back to thank her.
Now I want to know why history remembers River so kindly. :-)
I love this so much; it makes me want to cry and jump for joy at the same time. I love both shows and you have my two favourite characters as friends (River and the TARDIS). and I love it when people realise that River'll never be normal and that the TARDIS is alive (and in my corner of fandom the Bad Wolf). All your voices were spot on. Brava.
Sorry for the overwhelming lateness of the reply, but I wanted to be sure to tell you that I appreciate the kind feedback on my story. Thanks very much!

Oh, the possibilities abound! Maybe I'll get around to writing a sequel one of these days. Thanks for the lovely feedback :-)
