Chapter 1 “How old is he?” Ryosuke smiled, wrapping his hands onto the fragile fingers in front of him and the small creature in front of him surprisingly responded and began playing with his fingers, “He’s so cute.”
“Thank you, Yamada-san.” A tall yet beautiful woman smiled back and carressed her baby’s small arm lovingly. “He’s five months. And why your eyes suddenly are teary, Yamada-san?”
“Ah. Nothing.” Ryosuke chuckled, trying to manage his voice for coming back to its normal. “He’s just.. lovely.”
“Ah, thank you again. So, I’ll be going.” The woman bowed her head down before carrying her baby and walked out of Ryosuke’s sight.
He sighed, leaning his head against the wall with a heavy move.
It had been five years.
And the wound in his heart hadn’t healed yet, he was still hurting insides. For seeing a cute and innocent baby like that... he couldn’t help it but almost crying. He should have given a life for his baby, he should have protected his only child... and what had he done now? He lost everything. He even avoided Yuto, leaving his former town by his own desire. He didn’t wanna remember, he just didn’t wanna remember.
But of course.. he couldn’t make it.
He still hurt.
How the baby looked like? How was the baby’s face? How was the baby’s smile? How was the baby’s smell? And.. was the baby a girl? Or boy? It was the only his child, the baby who was exist because of him and Nakajima Yuto.
And those thoughts could only bring him in tears again.

The pair of eyes of the little boy were slowly opening by the soft wind that was now flowing out from his opened window. Blinking for two times before he tried to make his way for getting up fully from the bed. His little steps were softly heard as the door was opened, he got out of his room and accidentally he found a silhoutte that was now struggling in the kitchen.
“Mama.. good morning.”
The little boy just rubbed his eyes, realizing there was no response from his mother.
“Mama...”
“What do you want?”
It was a cold tone. The boy just bowed his head down as he knew that his mother wasn’t in a good mood, he began to prepare his breakfast for himself.
“Uhm, did Papa already leave to his campuss?”
“Why do you ask something that you already know the answer itself?”
“I’m sorry.”
A silence.
It was disturbing the boy so badly. He chewed his bread faster, planning to go to school as fast as he could. There was some times when his mother was sinking into his own darkness, the boy sure didn’t really know the reason... but his mother had changed since two years ago. Adults were strange, they were strange.
His parents were always fighting lately, and it was not a usual thing for him to hear his own name was mentioned. Even though he didn’t know what they meant, but he felt his heart a little ached. Somehow, he felt that he already disturbed their life.
The worst was... when his mother was ever hurting him pshycally when his father wasn’t in home.
But not so long after it, his mother would be crying and immediately hugged him ever so softly, saying that he was so sorry for doing this to the boy.
And the little boy who was named Kazu still didn’t understand about adults’ problem.
“Mama, I’ll be going.”
No answer.
Kazu sighed weakly, he was tired for waiting the answer so that he quickly took his bag and walked out of his house. His neighbors were absolutely going to the same nursery school as him, and Kazu could only bit his lower lip when seeing the children who were going to school together with their parents.
The boy clutched his string bag, remembering himself that his parents were still needing to go to college and they had not time for taking him to the school.
With a smile, he walked again.
“Hey.”
The boy lifted his little head up, “Yuto ji-san!”
“Good morning, Kazu.”
A very bright smile was plastered on the boy’s face, “Good morning, Yuto ji-san.”
“It’s good to see your face that’s always happy everyday.” Yuto squatted down, pinched the little boy’s cheek a little, “Keep smiling, ne?”
Kazu just giggled for what his uncle did, “Kazu will be smiling.”
“That’s great!” Yuto tapped the boy’s back softly, “Hey, are your parents busy again this morning? So, let’s go to school. I’ll accompany you.”
The little boy’s eyes were widened.
“Why?”
“Nothing.” The boy shook his head. “Just thank you! I love you so much! Yuto ji-san always kind to me, aaah.. Kazu can’t make a repayment.”
“Ssh!” Yuto hushed the boy, but he laughed a bit, “Don’t say something like that, I’m your uncle, right? So, let’s go now.”
Kazu nodded in excitement, his little fingers were interlaced with Yuto’s long fingers as they began to walk on.
“Your parents are taking care of you so much, ne?”
The little boy’s head was turning to Yuto’s direction, he blinked his eyes as his lips suddenly didn’t know how to make an answer of that question.
“Kazu?”
“Uhn. Yes! Of course, they love me. Mama always gives me a delicious breakfast every morning, and I often play with Papa in the night. I like Papa’s lullaby, it’s so heart-warming!”
Those were true.
Those were true in two years ago.
“I see.” Yuto smiled a little. “So you’re happy enough?”
“I.. I am.” Kazu smiled, trying to hide his weird vibe in his voice, “I’m happy. They love me, and I love them.. of course I’m happy, ne, Yuto ji-san? I’m a luckiest kid on earth for having parents like them! I won’t exchange them with anything!”
Yuto just looked at the boy and tightened his grip.
“I see. You won’t exchange them with anything.”

Chinen Yuuri-or should we call him Morimoto Yuuri now?-covered his face with his palms, taking a heavy sigh and he tried to catch a fresh air for comforting his mind. It had been five years and he could still not throw his barriers away. He felt dissapointed to himself for turning into someone else during these two years. And the worst.. it was Kazu who was there when he usually lost control.
“I’m bad at this, I’ve told you, Mom..” he whispered softly, messaging his forehead as if he was stressed so badly.
“What are you doing here, Yuuri? You’ve already graduated.”
Yuuri raised an eyebrow when he saw his husband coincidentally had already walked towards his direction. Well, true, he was just graduated from this college... but he loved being here, this had been becoming his place for four years.
“What should I do, then? My experience in college is useless, I don’t search for a job, anyway. My job now is only carrying our Kazu, right?”
“Then what are you doing here?! You let Kazu walk alone to go to school again?”
“I didn’t know, he already left without telling me.”
Ryutaro sighed.
And Yuuri just went silent, not wanting to talk more.
“Can you go home now?” Ryutaro said with a soft tone for this time while patting Yuuri’s back, “Kazu needs you.”
Yuuri still didn’t move.
“Yuuri..”
“Fine. It’s my job after all.” Yuuri stood up then walked passing him in unstable way, but he felt his husband’s hand was holding his left arm, “What?”
“Cold your head first.” Ryutaro said, “I don’t want anything bad happens to Kazu with your burning mind.”
But his spouse just threw his hand away and walked closer to him.
“How if.. you’re in my position?” he asked with a sharp tone that Ryutaro had even heard, “How is it? Doing a wife’s job isn’t my dream! It’s so annoying to see you go to college and later.. when you finish it you’ll build a carreer and finally make your dream comes true. I can’t do the same thing just because of those bastard parents choosed me to be a woman in this relationship-I hate that.”
Ryutaro just kept locking his gaze to his spouse.
“I can’t hold my patience anymore, Ryutaro. They make me... like this. They forbid me to freely make my own carreer... I feel my life will be going useless forever, don’t you know that?!”
The younger just pulled Yuuri’s head into his embrace.
“Forcing to get married with you in the young age isn’t my dream too, Ryutaro. I want us to be success first, I want us to get ready and well-prepared..” Yuuri encircled his husband’s neck with his small arms, “All my dreams were ruined.”
“Yuuri, it’s enough..”
“I hate this path.”
“Yuuri!”
“I hate this path!”
“The little boy also doesn’t like his path if he knows the reality, Yuuri.” Ryutaro cupped Yuuri’s puffy cheeks and stroke them with his thumbs, “Not everybody likes his or her own path. Can we just help each other?”
Yuuri just bowed his head upon hearing the words. He knew, he knew very well. He loved the little boy so much, knowing that Kazu already had unnormal life since the boy was born. However, Kazu was a good boy and Yuuri loved him so much for it. But lately, he didn’t know what was happening to himself so that he began to hurt the boy emotionally even it went phsycally sometimes.
It hurt him more for knowing that he couldn’t think and behave like an adult.
“Kazu needs us.” Ryutaro whispered, kissing his spouse’s forehead softly. “He’s even so young to face his own reality...”

Kazu was pouting when he tried to open the door of his house. It was locked, meaning that there was no one in home and there was no foods inside. Still pouting, the little boy reached his little fingers onto his bag and searched the key. It was a usual thing from him, being alone and hungry in this house.
“Aah.. Mama will kill me!”
His eyes widened as his hand began to move faster inside the bag.
“Where is it.. where where.. where’s the key..”
He kept mumbling as he squatted down and threw all his things only to find the key. But it was useless, his bag was already empty and there was still no key. The boy pouted more, leaning his back in frustration against the wall.
“Okay, it’s Kazu’s fault.” He murmured, “It’s his punishment because he lost the key so that he should wait for Mama here!”

“So where are you, Yuuri?” Ryosuke asked, and soon he chuckled when he heard a scream of surprised on the line, “Yes, I’m here. And I wanna see you, so.. are you still living in the same house?”
“B-but... it’s so sudden, Ryo-chan!”
“So what? Just tell me are you still living in the same house? I miss you and Ryutaro already!”
No answer.
“Yuuri?”
”Just-just wait there! I and Ryutaro will go to your house!”
And the person on the line had already hung up the call, making Ryosuke shrugged his shoulders, “But I’m not in my house already.”
Because he already could see the house when he was a child often to play, he smiled remembering the moment. Stepping slowly to the house, just wanting to look around.
“Mama!”
Ryosuke stopped his steps, eyes were suddenly sinking in the small’s figure who was now squatting in front of him.
“Oh, I’m sorry. I think you’re...”
“Mama?” Ryosuke walked closer, and now he squatted down to for adjusting their height, “Who’s Mama?”
But unexpectedly, the boy lifted his eyebrows, “You come to this house means you should know the people who live here, Mr. So what’s your business?”
Ryosuke laughed with this boy’s attitudes.
“This is not funny, Mr! Who are you?”
“Then who are you also?”
“You weird!”
“You too.”
The little boy pouted.
“But you’re cute. Hey, what’s your name?” Ryosuke smiled, “Are you Yuuri’s child?”
“My name is Kazu, Mr. And yes, I’m Mama Yuuri’s and Papa Ryutaro’s child even though I’m an adoption child.”
They never tell me about this.
“Yamada Ryosuke. Your parents’ friend, anyway.” Ryosuke tapped the boy's shoulder, “Yoroshiku.”
Kazu tilted his head, as if he was learning the face of person in front of him, “Yoroshiku.”
