Haha, staying at home, browsing around and eating a lot of food sounds close to what I want. I don't think I'll be getting it anytime soon, though!
How much was the lens, out of curiosity? I understand they're quite expensive. I'm getting my sister one for Christmas (She uses a Canon digital rebel) because she's an avid photographer in dire need of a new lens. Hopefully I can find one tomorrow; I'm bracing myself for the prices!
aww are you really busy? even during the holidays? in any case, when you have a free day, make sure to take advantage of it. sleeping and eating is fun. however if you're like me and do it everyday, you tend to get lazy and gain weight. not good! XD
this lens cost us around CAN$450 shipped on ebay, it is around CAN$600 in stores usually (in the US it's more like $400 though i believe). i think i got a good deal. ^^; i'm getting it tomorrow, i can't waiiiit!! ♥ this lens is rather cheap, compared to all the others. i couldn't believe it when i realized that good lenses cost more than my camera body!! :'( mine was CAN$500 retail, and it came with a kit lens. i paid around CAN$260 because i had gift cards.
i'm not too familiar with lenses for canon though, but from what i've seen, they seem to offer a wider variety of fast lenses, which makes me completely jealous. this one sigma lens is basically the only fast lens that will autofocus on my nikon d40!
