The crocheted plushies are adorable! And I love the solar system necklace and the Hobbit tote bag. What better way to shop groceries than with a Hobbit bag?!?!
Ha, I was thinking of using the tote for book hauling to/from the library -- it's quite sturdy! -- but you're right! Groceries are obviously an even better use for a Hobbit bag :D
Looking at the picture of all the jewelry I picked up this year, it's really an excellent summary of my various tastes -- the amber piece is the more usual one, but also geeky and fannish and an assortment of semiprecious stones in silver (and a critters :P)
The dragon is FABULOUS! I'm so in awe of alorarose's crochet abilities -- I already was, with the hamster I got from her a few years back -- but the dragon is definitely way more intricate. And shiny! :D
And, heh, I obviously had to have the poison rings. (I'm enjoying the chance to nominate both the artists of the rings -- who had a lot of intricate custom stuff -- and the Glorious Bug for the Hugos. Assuming I remember to fill out the ballot in time.)
So glad to hear that you will continue into Season 2 of Farscape. It gets very very good. And John, despite initial all-american blah typical presentation, has pretty awesome development and arc. He is one of my favorites too.

It's very rare for me to like the "hero" best, and his all-American, good ol' Southern boy thing from the beginning left me pretty meh, but he's really grown on me over this season, and will presumably continue to do so.
I haven't actually tried out the Hobbit bag yet -- it's been kind of rainy since I got it, and I don't want to mess it up too fast -- but I'm looking forward to taking it out to the library and being the envy of all the fantasy nerds :D (The artist is Naomi Van Doren, if you're interested in browsing her shop/Redbubble. She has a lot of other really lovely landscapes.)
One day I should be trying "Farscape" as well. I only know Ben Browder as he and Claudia Black were brought into "Stargate" after their show had been cancelled. While it clearly was the writer's fault and not the actor's who only could work with what he was given, we old-time fans were very angry at this character coming in and ruining our show. The whole premise of making a newbie who never had been through the gate before the leader of the flagship team instead of giving this honor to a character who had worked hard for years and certainly had the experience (but happened to be a woman, go figure) was all wrong
( ... )
Oh, huh, I knew about the Farscape leads also being on Stargate, but didn't realize there was this drama surrounding their appearance!
i>And he told us a story how he saw John dancing naked in his hotel room the night before at 4 AM. Apparently JB hadn't realized that it got mirrored in the window front of the opposite building.
LOL! And I think I must've seen the pictures with the JB kiss before -- the first one looks familiar anyway! -- but at the time I didn't know who the other guy was.
And, well, if you want to join me on this Farscape journey, I'm not very far along yet :)

And I've been generally spoiled / have been shamelessly spoiling myself this year, too :)
