Shiny novel author has also written The Lie Tree, Fly by Night (about Mosca Mye), Cuckoo Song, and several other books I've heard about that all sound fascinating and have super-impressive reviews from people I trust, so I'm really excited about finally reading something by her! (Read it with me, totally, davai!)

Wow - that package is amazing. So many cool things ... the books look very pretty as well.
I think the bookmarks may be German as it says "Reisen" on the package. ;-)

OOOOH HOORAY IT MADE IT! i was tracking and tracking but i didn't expect it to happen todaaaaaaaaaaay. yess! i'm so glad, i was so happy to get you and i went on so many gift hunts :DDDDD

(stupid bulgarian post, though, refused another set of bookmarks and a dragon notebook, because apparently you can't mail magnets O.o. what's even wrong with magnets?)

I found a nice way to cheat postal system and its restrictions in a way that doesn't make me lose sleep and hairs -- choose to send the questionable item in a separate package, cheapest rate! :D and declare it as something innocuous on the form. this way i even managed to get jam sent to Anechka.

Magnets, huh... That is so bizarre! I can see not being to ship, like, industrial strength magnets that could mess up mail scanners or whatever, but bookmarks? (I'll just have to come collect them in person! ;D <-- we are actually seriously hoping for Bulgaria/Varna as part of the Europe trip next summer, so I'm only semi-joking about that! We haven't started thinking about dates or anything solid like that, and I will definitely consult you when we do start planning in earnest, so as not to show up when you're traveling, and, like, try to find an AirBnB a reasonable distance away. But hopefully we will get to meet and I'll be able to thank you in person! :DDD
