Yay I am very glad you liked Smekday. I love it a lot a lot.

“The car, it should to hover much better now!” he called happily.

“Hover?” I answered. “Hover better? I didn’t hover at all before!”

“Hm,” the Boov said, looking down. “So THIS is why the wheels are so dirty.”

:D

ETA: Also!

Yes! I (and L) should thank you again for the fact that I even knew about this book -- I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have picked it up otherwise, and I am very glad I did.

An, hee, I went looking for the video on the chickfight post, and so saw this comic also. Terrible Man-Lizard! Take that, Canadians! XD

Oh well if it's a repeat to you maybe it won't be to your journal readers and I can earn more Smekday points?

I wish Tip made it further in chickfight. I know she doesn't have super powers but she'd out think a lot of dumb bitches!

You get ALL the Smekday points! :D

The tough thing about chickfight was that, especially since I was involved since the nomination process, I was rooting for, like, 80% of those ladies. And it will be even harder next time, assuming Tip and Astrid participate again, because now I love both of them, too, in addition to all the ladies I loved last year. And with Granny out of the running, I don't even know who I'd want to win the whole thing!

The next time I express a need for new reading recommendations, remind me of the Adam Rex one. I didn't want to read your review too closely, for fear of spoilers, but it sounds promising!

I was actually just thinking that it might be a nice read-aloud book for you and the girls -- I found it to be a lot of fun for me as an adult, but there was enough kid-friendly action and humour. L read it by herself (very quickly), and I think even O is old enough to appreciate most of it, so I think MiniPlu and Two might enjoy it, too.

Sadly, no. There is a very brief scene from his POV, but he doesn't appear in any of the rest of it. I find I've missed him too. The book has made me want to reread ACC again, so maybe I'll get my Ivan fix there.
